Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 is required to either have successfully completed a National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) approved boating education course or have passed an equivalent course or temporary certificate examination. Please keep in mind that Florida regulations state that you must be 18 years of age or older to rent a boat and must have either.
- a valid boating education certificate, or
- complete the Florida State -Approved Boat Rental Course
